In 2005, Al-Aswar Trading Group expanded to open a branch in China under the legal name “Aswar Aldirah Electronics Trading LLC – Guangzhou Branch” that today employs 20 Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking staff. Initially the branch served as a logistics and procurement support center for Aswar, but it has since expanded to become a shipping company as well specializing in sea and air cargo to the Iraq market. Being a key partner of Iraqi Airways, Aswar’s air cargo shipping is the most reliable and cost effective in the market. More than twenty key clients in Iraq depend on Aswar for all their shipping requirements.
